Breeding History

The purpose of this breeding was to produce versatile and trainable dogs that are good representations of the breed in terms of conformation and field ability; and dogs that can compete in more than one venue.

ABOUT DART

  • Dart is highly trainable
    • One of her nick-names is "Dart-Smart"
    • She was broke to wing and shot by clicker & treats
      • In only 19 weeks
      • She has no concept of a heavy hand or electricity
    • In less than nine months after being broke to wing & shot she accomplished
      • Amateur Gun Dog Major
      • Fourth Place at the Vizsla Club of America National Amateur Field Championship
  • Dart is versatile
    • In Performance Events
      • She approaches performance events with extreme drive
      • She has the same drive in agility as she has in the field
    • In Conformation
      • She is a good example of the Vizsla standard
      • I finished her in the show ring without using a professional handler
      • From the classes, she has gone Best Opposite Sex over specials
      • She's placed each year she has competed in Field Trial Bitch at the VCA Nationals
    • When Hunting
      • She exhibits tremendous ground speed in a field trial, yet stays as close as a personal hunting dog when hunting
  • Dart is a Buddy
    • She always greets me with a toy in her mouth
    • With all the spirit she shows in performance events, she will relax with me on the couch or by the fire pit in the back yard

  • at 6 months old - CKC FDJ - one weekend.
  • at 7 months old - AKC WD/BOW first weekend in ring
  • at 9 months old - AKC specialty 1st 6-9months dogs
    • NAVHDA NA Prize 1 - perfect score 112pts
    • AKC FT - 3pt major Puppy Stake win at GSP FT - horseback trial, Zoom was handled on foot. This was his second FT.
  • at 15 months old- AKC FT - VCNC - 1st Open Puppy, 4th Open Derby, JAM AWD.
  • at 19 months old- AKC bench BOB over 5 specials to finish.
  • at 22 months old - Zoom was 4th at the 2005 VCA National Derby Classic - owner handled.
  • at 26 months old- first FT as a broke dog.
  • Zoom has a leg towards his SH,
  • has placements in OGD and OLGD in tough all-breed FT's (32 dogs stakes, etc)
  • Rally Novice title.
    Zoom has only shown in Canada one day, WD/BOW
